The latest Tandberg SLR tape drive is the SLR140, with a capacity of 70/140Gb. It is backwards compatible to lower capacity tape drives such as SLR100, SLR75, SLR60, SLR50, SLR40 and SLR7 allowing current and new SLR customers to migrate from lower to higher performance and capacity and protecting their investments.

The SLR technology platform has gained industry recognition for its quality and reliability. It is extremely affordable and is compatible with all major operating systems, third party software applications and PC platforms. SLR (Single Linear Recording) technology has been with us for some time and has been continually developed by Tandberg since the early 1990s, with initial tape drive capacities of 60Mb. The first 'SLR' badged drive was the SLR1 150Mb capacity drive.
