The Tandberg Digital Linear Tape7000 offers 70Gb of data storage capacity at transfer rates of up to 36Gb per hour.(assuming 2:1 data compression)  This performance makes the Tandberg DLT7000 the ideal choice for mid-range computers, network servers, high-end workstations and mainframe enviroments utilizing Windows NT, NetWare and UNIX operating systems.
The Tandberg DLT7000 has full read and write compatibility (with the correct cartridge) with all current and previous DLT tape products both from Tandberg Data and other manufacturers thus securing your investment.
The drive utilizes proven linear recording technology, which includes a precision tape guidance mechanism and a head design with self cleaning features for reliability, 2 channel parallel recording and DLZ compression for performance, read-while-write data verification, CRC, Reed-Solomon ECC for data integrity, self monitoring diagnostics and TapeAlert to ensure optimium performance.
